2024 Open Gyms and Tryouts

Open Gym and Tryout Season is upon us! We will be hosting 4 open gyms prior to tryouts and 2 days of tryouts. We encourage everyone interested in trying out to attend our open gyms so they can meet girls in the club, get a feel for our team dynamic and, most importantly, play some Poly volleyball!

Open Gyms

Open gyms will be on

• Tues. 10/1 : 7-9 Pm

• Thurs. 10/3 : 7-9 PM

• Sun. 10/6 : 10-12 PM All open gyms take place at the Main Gym in the Recreation Center. Keep an eye out on our Instagram for any other chances to play some volleyball before tryouts!

Tryouts

Tryouts will be on

• Sat. 10/12 : 9 am -12 pm 

• Sun. 10/13 : 9 am -12 pm (INVITE ONLY) They typically take place over a two day period. The first round of cuts will be made after the first day with the second day being invite only. After the second day of tryouts, the 2 teams will be formed and emails will be sent out to those that made it.

Tryouts will be held in the Main Gym of the Recreation Center, the same place as open gyms.

What to Expect

Participants will undergo a variety of drills and scrimmages to display volleyball skill and experience.

Please arrive a half hour early to check in and warm up. Be prepared to pay a $15 tryout fee at check-in (cash or Venmo).

Team selection is based off talent, volleyball IQ, hard work, coachability, team chemistry, etc. Returners are not guaranteed a position.

Tryout Tips: Show 100% effort, exhibit hustle, shag balls, support others, be loud, be approachable, make friends!
